The Veteran Group

About the Group
Maryborough Veteran Golfers are members of the Maryborough Golf Club. The Maryborough Veteran Group is also a member of the Wide Bay District Veteran Golfers Association and play and conduct Tournaments and Carnivals under the auspices of the Queensland Veteran Golfers Union (QVGU). The Veterans' programme is based on three stableford and one stroke event each month. It includes "Home and Away" games with other veteran clubs in the Wide Bay district as well as a number of one and two day carnivals. Visiting Veterans are very welcome to join us on Tuesdays, please contact the Pro shop to make a booking. Non-veteran guests of veteran members are welcome to play; they will, however, not be eligible for prizes and will be required to pay club green fees.

Prizes
Each year veterans compete in matchplay, eclectic, order of merit, monthly stroke and championship events. Each winner receives a $200 voucher and has their name recorded on the perpetual trophy. Each runner up receives a $100 voucher. There are also prizes for weekly 'home' games.
